The original teak was far too beautiful to cover, so the warm natural grain has been carefully restored and made the focal point of the design. Deep blue provides a striking contemporary contrast, while fine gold detailing complements the original handles and gives the piece its distinctive geometric character.
BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL TEAK
The drawer fronts retain their original teak, showcasing the warm tones and natural grain of the wood. The contrasting deep blue sections have been carefully positioned to emphasise the shape and proportions of the chest rather than overpower the original mid-century design.
Fine gold lines run across the drawers in a crisp geometric pattern, tying the natural wood and painted finish together.
